The pragmatist approach rightfully acknowledges the lacuna of apparent and superficial information which albeit false may be convincing enough to mask the truth. Reality is never simple and mere empiricism or coherence cannot be used as a yardstick to determine truth. In certain situations, it is quite necessary to go beyond the mundane and things which are visible to the naked eye in order to arrive at the authenticity of the situation.
